THE BEST KEPT SECRET…Shhhhh (article first published : 2006-12-14)

From the Dingalings Production Company that presented Faraway Forest last holidays, comes a brand new exciting children’s play called the Best Kept Secret…Shhhh to be staged at the Kwasuka Theatre in Greyville from December 12 until January 6.

“This new production is a delightful romp through the lives of our characters as they try to save the children’s dreams and wishes for a wonderful holiday. Once again the production is highly interactive with the children, and parents, being encouraged to participate,” says Kumseela Naidoo.

The play deals with the dreams and wishes of our children being stolen by the horrid Frazzlefoot. The others attempt to save these from the baddie and go through a series of adventures to capture Frazzlefoot and save the dreams and wishes.

The talented cast includes experienced performers like Vivian Moodley - who has performed, written and directed dozens of productions - as Mr Grumblewump. He is constantly arguing and fighting with his wife Mrs Grumblewump played by Kumseela Naidoo, another experienced performer who also takes the role of Nosy Parker. Nirvana Naidoo, who made her debut in Faraway Forest, plays Cristabel and Henry Ramkissoon who is fast gaining popularity as a stand-up comic and performer, is Frazzlefoot. The production also includes Koobeshen Naidoo. Kumseela who plays Tiddlewinks, the bumbling hero in the play who manages to capture the baddie and save the dreams and wishes. The play is written and directed by Koobeshen Naidoo who with other members of the cast writes and directs the Lotus FM Radio Drama – SA Law.

Performances Tuesday until Sunday at 11h00. There are no shows on Monday. Tickets R45 include a Festive Goody Bag from Game City. Tickets R30 for the show only.
