THE ADVENTURES OF BUBBLE THE CLOWN (article first published : 2006-11-29)

Especially for family audiences this festive season is The Adventures of Bubble the Clown, a delightful and interactive circus adventure at the Catalina Theatre.

Bubble the Clown is produced by Sue Clarence Promotions who presented The Frog Prince last year.

Tamil the talking tiger is missing after a particularly noisy firework display that Bubble the Clown has set off. Princess Bambi and a sorrowful Bubble set off to find him. Along the way they meet Bruno, a wandering minstrel, who falls madly in love with Princess Bambi. This results in an insanely jealous Bubble and so the adventures begin. All ends happily, of course, but not without lots of help from the children they meet along the way.

The tale is told with madcap fun and games, jokes and lots of audience interaction, sing-a-longs and festive season songs. Rowan Bartlett is Bubbles the Clown with Julia Clarence as Princess Bambi and Dylan Edy as Bruno the Wandering Minstrel (and a few other characters as well!). The story is directed by Anthony Stonier who also wrote it with input from the cast.

Special lucky prize winners will get to win a balloon animal or a beautifully painted face.

The Adventures of Bubble The Clown runs at Catalina Theatre in Wilsonís Wharf at 11h00 daily (except Mondays) from December 2 to 31.Tickets R45 including a boat ride around Durban harbour and a festive goodie bag. Tickets R30 for the show only.

Bookings through Thandeka on 031 305 6889 or Sue Clarence 082 882 9869. Catalina Theatre and Kwasuka Tickets are now available online at www.strictlytickets.com or www.catalinatheatre.co.za or through www.goingplacessa.co.za
