CAPE TOWN YOUTH FESTIVAL (article first published : 2005-11-14)

The Cape Town Youth Festival, which takes place from March 6 to 17 is looking for one-hour workshop proposals from interested parties. The theme for 2006 is Celebrating Ubuntu (Humanity) with special emphasis on Intercultural Learning.

“Workshops should support the Arts and Culture Gr9 curriculum, be OBE based and incorporate the festival theme in some way,” says festival CEO, Yusuf Ganief. “We are also looking for some workshops that integrate learners with different levels of physical ability and workshops that integrate youth at risk and school learners.”

Workshop lesson plans and company profiles should accompany workshop proposals which must be submitted by November 25, 2005. All applications will be evaluated in line with the festival’s procurement policy.

For application forms and queries contact Sibongiseni Gabada and Sam Rankin, Project Manager and Arts Education Manager, on 021 465 9042, fax 021 465 9043, e-mail: info@capetownfestival.co.za or visit www.capetownfestival.co.za
