SASAD CONGRESS 2004 (article first published : 2004-03-23)

In a determined attempt to provide young KwaZulu Natal students with new and exciting dance methods and techniques, SASAD holds a Dance Congress every two years, which runs over four days.

A faculty of eminent highly qualified and experienced tutors from the USA and all parts of South Africa are invited to coach the dancers who range in age from six years up to and including professionals.

The disciplines of Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Dance orientated Acrobatics, Phenduka, Music Theatre Drama, Pilates and Yoga are all included in the daily programme.

The Congress runs from April 1 to 4 at Danville Park Girls’ High School, Middlebrook Avenue, Durban North from 08h00 to 20h00, and is open to member and non-member teachers and students. A flea market and tuck shop will be available daily.
