TIDALWAVES AND TRIBUTARIES (article first published : 2003-01-30)

Tidalwaves and Tributaries is a historically based and individually challenging talk by Suzette Munnik not to be missed by potters, collectors or anyone else for that matter. It is Suzette’s personal overview of the development of Studio ceramics in South Africa.

Suzette is currently programme leader, Ceramic Design at Technikon Witwatersrand. Her interest in ceramics and ceramic education spans a period of 30 years. She has travelled widely studying ceramics in various countries. She has developed her won work and in 1998 she received The Premier Award at the first International Ceramics Biennale in South Africa.

Her talk will start at 11h00 on February 22 and will be preceded by the Association of Potters (APSA) AGM at 09h30 at the Art Department, Kearsney College. Entrance fee R30 (R20 APSA members. For bookings call Sue Greenberg on 031 368 5547.
